Certain COVID Survivors: Who They Are?

Since COVID put half of the world's businesses on hold, more and more companies go out of business. This crisis affected all areas, space tech included. For example, OneWeb, one of the SpaceX competitors in designing satellite networks, went out of business this March. Still, as some businesses fail, others are striving. Take a look at the list of space revolutionaries that have nothing to worry about in the post-COVID world.

Firefly Aerospace & Max Polyakov

Firefly Aerospace and its Ukrainian founder Max Polyakov may not have SpaceX notoriety, but in space tech circles, both of these names are huge. Firefly has collaborated with SpaceX, Virgin Galactic, and got contracts from NASA. Specializing in lightweight launch vehicles and component parts, this dedicated team has already developed a lot of impressive additive technologies. These developments got Firefly the permission to launch from government-monitored Vandenberg Air Force Base. Since few private companies boast such a level of trust, Firefly's future will surely be bright.

Blue Origin & Jeff Bezos

Jeff Bezos's ideas of making space a tourist attraction seemed unreal at first. Today, however, space tourism is closer than ever. People are already in line for suborbital passenger tickets, even though the prices have not been officially announced yet. Like most other space giants on this list, Blue Origin signs contracts with NASA and is about to participate in the latest Artemis program, announced by Donald Trump.

Lockheed Martin & its Team

Lockheed Martin will take part in the Artemis program as well. However, its future does not rely on NASA alone. Lockheed Martin has been collaborating with the US Department of Defense and State Department for years now. Since 1995, it has been producing aircraft, missiles, and ammunition, fine-tuning defense systems for almost two decades. Lockheed Martin already survived more than one economic crisis, so the post-pandemic world should not be an issue either.

SpaceX & Elon Musk

Wrapping up the list of entrepreneurs that will definitely survive COVID is the obvious person — world-famous Elon Musk and his SpaceX. Perhaps, everyone in the world knows its heavy vehicle Falcon 9, so SpaceX's future is nothing to worry about. Currently, this company is working on solutions to make space cargo deliveries more affordable, and it looks like they are making progress.

Of course, more innovators may have what it takes to make it in the post-pandemic world. Still, these four are the absolute leaders that have nothing to worry about.
