Max Polyakov’s Firefly – a Real Prospect of Accessible Space

Мax Polyakov and Firefly Aerospace want to launch a space rocket in 2019. Firefly started from a US engineer named Tom Markusic. He has been in the space business for over twenty years now.

Tom decided to start his own organization for developing satellite vehicles in 2014. That was the beginning of Firefly Space Systems and the designing of Beta and Alpha vehicles.

After three years of operation, Firefly almost went bankrupt because its leading investor was unable to perform his duty. A businessman Max Polyakov is the one who stepped in to save Firefly. After rescuing the organization, Polyakov changed its name to Firefly Aerospace.

Firefly was able to perform better after new investments from 2017 to 2018 compared to its previous years. Below are some of the things that the company achieved:

• They created a new staff, and Mr. Markusic was the Executive Director.    

• The Firefly lighting engine was designed and checked. Also, a new user guide was produced.

• The company signed an agreement with a big satellite manufacturer from Britain. The agreement stated that Firefly would launch Alpha six times from the year 2020.     

• America authorized the use of Vandderberge Cosmodrome on the California Air Force base. It is important also to state that Firefly was the 2nd private organization in the world owned by a non-American that has received that prestigious right.     

• The R and D centers were opened in Ukraine.    

• The analysis of Beta and Alpha are currently on their last stage.

• Mr. Polyakov joined the business world in 2000. It took eight years for him to find and support various organizations. One of the companies he promoted was Maxymiser, which deals with website content, optimizing, personalizing, and even cloud analyzing of software. 

• Max Polyakov became the leading partner of the Noosphere entity (venture capital fund) in 2012.      

• Noosphere deployed a startup that deals with the Earth Data Observation System (EOS) in 2015. The role of this startup was to improve the usefulness of GIS (geographical information system) data gathering and analyzing.

• The workers at EOS were able to come with more great services that make it easy to access satellite imaging.
  EOS joined the International Astronautical Association in 2017.

• With the help of Max Polyakov, Noosphere Association was able to hold various contests, tournaments, events, and conferences. They include the Vernadsky Challenge, the BestRoboFest, and a volleyball tournament.

• The Noosphere Engineering Institution was established in 2014.

• A mobile application named MyPol was created in the Noosphere Engineering Institution in 2018. This app is used to communicate with law enforcers.

Conclusion

Max Polyakov and his company are expected to achieve a lot. The R and D centers in Ukraine, for instance, are creating a satellite and an electro-reactive engine. Besides that, Ukraine is good in the sciences and development of rockets. Considering the commercial space launch, the involvement of Ukraine in this technology is likely to accomplish much.
